The Plot was a good Twist but the book went into to much detail about unnecessary things and dragged on a bit

    A great read!
  • Save your time & money - poorly written, unlikeable characters & awful storyline

I read a great deal and there a very few books I haven't been able to enjoy, whether in their entirety or one really likeable character. Unfortunately this book has no redeeming qualities and was a rare waste of my time to read. The characters are 1 dimensional, the storyline is like something concocted by a young teenager who enjoys the sound of their own voice too much and it was poorly proofread. There are mistakes relating to the main character's wife's name - Mel is both Melissa and Melanie at one point and basic grammatical errors. Avoid this - I wish I had!

I absolutely loved this book. Well written, a real page turner with believable characters and a contemporary storyline - just how intrusive is technology?? I won't drivel on about what happens - it's so annoying when people do that- but I will say just buy it and read it. You won't regret it.
  • Lying if I said this was a good read

You will not see the twist coming - this is because it is completely implausible, not because it is original. Bit of an insult to an intelligent mind this one. Could not recommend.

Found this book to be very average and a little unbelievable in places but decent enough to warrant a read.

I really enjoyed Lies. Is a great page turner, and it left me wanting more every time I had to put it down. The plot was such a brilliantly basic idea, but I haven't read anything else that comes close to it, so it's no copy cat book, but a truly original idea, which is rare these days. I shall be interested in seeing what the next novel brings. I'm hoping DS Redford gets a promotion!
