  • Lying if I said this was a good read

You will not see the twist coming - this is because it is completely implausible, not because it is original. Bit of an insult to an intelligent mind this one. Could not recommend.

Found this book to be very average and a little unbelievable in places but decent enough to warrant a read.

I really enjoyed Lies. Is a great page turner, and it left me wanting more every time I had to put it down. The plot was such a brilliantly basic idea, but I haven't read anything else that comes close to it, so it's no copy cat book, but a truly original idea, which is rare these days. I shall be interested in seeing what the next novel brings. I'm hoping DS Redford gets a promotion!

Brilliantly written, constantly had me on edge but felt the ending twist was too far fetched. I'd recommend still, great read.

Reading this book I could only envisage it as a ITV crime drama, that is not a compliment. None of the characters where engaging. Not the worst book I've read, I did read it to the end and enjoyed parts of the book. I just couldn't shake the feeling that if this was a tv series/ film I would detest it and the less than endearing characters.
