With 20 million copies sold worldwide THE SHACK is an international bestseller that explores life's toughest questions through the gripping story of one man's struggle to find answers to his suffering.

Mack's youngest daughter, Missy, was abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, still trapped in his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack. Against his better judgement Mack arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon. What he finds there will change his life forever.

THE SHACK wrestles with the timeless question, 'Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?' Mack's experiences when he faces up to his darkest nightmares will astound you, and perhaps transform you as much as it did him.

This is the kind of book you'll want to tell everyone about. Millions have discovered it already - now it's your turn.

This film tie-in edition includes a new ten-page note from the author on his reflections and experiences of seeing The Shack brought to life on film.

  • Amazing book, cried through the film

    By It's quite good.
It’s pretty helpful for people who don’t get faith, God, all of that. Just be prepared. With many tissues. It also really made me want pie, lol.
  • So beautiful

This book is a gift, it does not thrust God at you but it truly makes you think and allows you to be changed. I keep re-reading this beautiful book. Missy is in my heart as Mack. This is a book which everyone should read.
  • I am not to be manipulated.

If you are deeply involved in religion and in the 'Inner circle' of believers, you and your fellow club members will no doubt drool at the biblical similes expressed in this book. I have stepped outside that circle after a lifetime of Church indoctrination and am looking for new answers before I reach the end of my life. I felt that this book talked down at me as if it was written as a Hans Christian Anderson fairy story. I won't say don't read the book, by all means do so, I hope it has a meaning for you that has eluded me.

This book has got to be the most amazing book I've ever read, it keeps you enthralled all the way through it. it gives you pause for thought and allows you to open your mind to the sanctity of god and what he means to us.

  • Outstanding, re-turning to God has been made easier

I am have felt a need deep inside for a while to investigate my own faith in God. My brother told me to read this book and I am so glad he did. It makes you sit and reflect at every turn. I have been concentrating so much whether to convert to RC instead of as I was baptised, but this book reminded me that it doesn't matter at all. That is not what finding God is all about. It's about opening up your heart to Jesus. Allowing him in. Sharing our lives with him. Fantastic fantastic book.
