Rear Window meets Gone Girl, in this exceptional and startling psychological thriller

'Gripping, enthralling - a top-notch thriller and a compulsive read'
S J WATSON, bestselling author of Before I Go To Sleep

Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She’s even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. ‘Jess and Jason’, she calls them. Their life – as she sees it – is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy.

And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough.

Now everything’s changed. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she’s only watched from afar.

Now they’ll see; she’s much more than just the girl on the train…

Haven't read a book for such a long time but after hearing and reading the reviews about the girl on the train, downloaded it and it exceeded my expectations, great story line and kept me in suspense till the end. Couldn't put the story down. Can't wait to down her next book.
  • Never judge a book by its cover!

I read this book not long after the film came out and it introduced me to a new world, a world where anything was possible. Anybody could be a threat and nobody's life got any easier. The author grasps your attention right from the beginning and they never let go! This book gives an amazing message which is 'never judge a book by its cover.'

  • A gripping read

I found this book gripping and fast paced, however I did solve the mystery early on. Despite that it was still an enjoyable read.

As a Londoner, I love the way that the author describes about the commutes. It's so accurate, funny and witty! Also love the plot! One of the best thrillers I've ever read!
  • Disappointed

Very disappointed with this book after all the hype about it! Not worth 4.99! A very long drawn out plot line very predictable. Read much better 99p books

  • Absorbing Thriller

    By Blamb60
At the beginning of the book Rachel, the main character has a rather bleak outlook and you sympathise but also feel like giving her a shake at times. But you know the book is a thriller so you bide your time as you know the book will set the scene and build the characters and plot gradually and menacingly, roping you in and it does not disappoint. I was really looking forward to the book and the film as I love thrillers and was determined to finish the book before watching the film; so I read this quicker than usual. When I reached the last couple of chapters I just could not put it down. Brilliant, absorbing thriller, takes its time to build the characters and although Rachel is annoying at times you can't help rooting for her. Thoroughly enjoyable read, highly recommended.
