This is a great film, made with a lot of work and love. I have watched it many times and will probably watch it again soon.
  • Stop-Motion Masterpiece

Kubo and the Two Strings is a perfect example of why claymation is still used in an age where CGI is the easy answer. It tells a beautiful story of family, love and loss visualised in a beautiful art style with tonnes of heart. It caters to both adults and children with genuinely heartfelt moments and pretty mature ideas that would connect better with adults, while keeping comedy light hearted enough to entertain younger viewers too. Please do yourself a favour and watch Kubo, you won't be disappointed !

To those who negative reviews. You obviously did not pay attention nor do you have any appreciation for the art of animation. I suggest you watch the making of to appreciate the amount of talent and craftsmanship that went into this film. This film is stop motion at its best with minimal cgi, the human hand is ever present in every frame which makes this film so special. If you or your children didn't understand it then pay more attention. This film is a classic as is every other laika production. If you don't like it then you don't desearle to have eyes, ears or a heart! Soundtrack is beautiful also. Can't give it enough stars!!

Such a great film for kids and adults (in 25)! I would definitely recommend this film.
  • Worse cartoon ever

Omg this was the most boring cartoon I ever watched. The story does not make sense with the armoure, as he does not really need it... 1 star is actually a good rating...
  • Most underrated movie of 2016

When this was in cinemas, this animation really didn't get the PR it deserved - or may be it did and we missed the marketing hype. This is a movie filled with legend/myth, adventure, magic, love and humanity. Great entertainment for the whole family.
  • A surprise of a movie

I watched this on the plane flying to the US as I could not sleep and found it quite gripping certainly not your candy covered type of children's movie. Would definitely recommend to ignore the bizarre ranting and rating of one star in the reviews as it is worth a watch.
  • In my top 10 cartoons

A great movie! Aesthetically it is a pleasure to watch and the storyline is quite unusual for a children's cartoon which makes it more interesting.
  • The movie is only part of the story.

I brought this so that I could show my children all of the life lessons from the storyline. From being a caregiver, to needing direction in an adventure from those who have taught you, this film has it all. It is warm hearted, tender and filled with amazing CGI. We are all throughly entertained and the numerous lessons continue to appear to us all, after every showing.
