Just AWFUL! Tried twice to watch, twice we switched off halfway through, DO NOT buy this!!
  • Rushed, not well directed i think

Book is 100s times better. The movie lacked tension in the final scenes as well as missing on how Rachel and Megan (main characters) were going through. But what i disliked most about it was that they placed the story in New York not London. I really like Emily Blunt and she did a great job shame about the director story telling style
  • Very good

Very well done. The best movie I've seen this year so far.
  • Great film

Brilliant from start to finish but not a patch in the book. However I've paid for the HD version and cannot see how I access the 'extras' for this film. Where are they?

Definitely worth watching. Watch it till the end. The end is so unpredictable
  • Not as good as I was hoping

I was really looking forward to watching this film when it was released. It's not as amazing as the hype made it out to be. By the time the conclusion comes, I was left feeling it could have been better and wanting something more. Characters are not developed enough and several of their actions seem odd and unusual in the situations they're in.
  • Turgid

I'm reliably informed that the film is better than the book. I can only imagine how bad the book is, then, because this confused mess of a movie left me bored throughout. I do prefer a beginning, middle and end -in that order - but that seems alien to these film makers. As for the Girl of the title, I just wanted to slap her throughout. Perhaps if she sobered up and eased off on the self-pity she would have been more sympathetic. As it is, I couldn't have cared less about her, or what happened to her. A relentlessly dreary bore from start to finish.
  • Cleverly done

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I thought the acting was very good and found it a clever thriller.
  • Not a girl, not much to do with a train

    By Rob McMinn
Standard fare, infected by the publishing industry's obsession with putting "girl" into book titles, even though she's not a girl, and the train has very little relevance. Lots of contra zoom as a substitute for acting, and a bit boring.
  • Boring and slow

This film has to be one of the worst I've seen in years. It is very slow and quite boring. Don't waste money buying or renting it. Sadly a big disappointment.
