  • 4K from HD

I have like a lot of you been seduced by the 4K Apple TV and the upgrades from HD to 4K . Firstly unless you have enough broadband speed , which I have, the best you will achieve is HD and if you haven’t got these titles on Blu-ray, then these are a good purchase. As well as having the enjoyment of watching them on your iPhone or iPads or a Mac, but note, in HD only. The average 4K film to purchase on disc is over £20 , so it very appealing, to see advertised 4K films here for under £7. I am enjoying the 4K experience and have purchased a few from the store. But and this a big but, most 4K films here won’t upscale your existing Blu-rays and secondly most are in letterbox format . So I suggest don’t go cheap and try to upscale your existing Blu-ray Discs or purchase here a new 4K film, over a new Blu-ray Disc of the same price , because you think it’s going to show a better picture and because it’s cheaper than buying a 4K disk. I’ve learned my lesson and will happily upgrade some of my old dvds to these cheap 4K films, but in future if I want true 4K and no letter box, then I will bite the bullet and fork out the expense for the disc.
  • Unlike the game. Even can’t beat the welcome video in the game.

It did not show the UBISOFT skills in this film. It just like an unsorted stuff put out in front of your eyes. However, it also missed a lot of details to let audiences keep up with.

  • Better than expected

Games to film are notoriously utterly diabolical, it is usually better to disembowel yourself with the nearest blunt object rather than watch a film made from a game. This is the contradiction that proves the rule correct. My main worry was that this was going to CGId to heck. CGI being the worst thing that has every happened to film. Dodgy superimposure of earlier films usualy gives a better result than most films "attempts" at CGI. Assassin's Creed however has used the CGI in an understated manner. It is there but is not offenisve to your viewing pleasure. So, two ticks there...but... There are some elemenents that seem to drag on in the film, beyond what is necessary. Two scenes I thought "ok, this has been going on long enough - lets move on" but for the most part the story runs nicely and smoothly. Last thing, the credits are 15 minutes long if you are looking at runtime for the film.

One of the worse films I have seen, boring.
  • Great film for the fans of the franchise

I can see why people who have never played the games or read the books will be disappointed with this, but as a huge fan of the lore and franchise I thought it fitted into the series really well and was a really good watch. Yes, some elements were slightly altered for a more cinematic experience (the animus for example) but unit didn't detract from the story or action.
  • Unfortunately Very Disappointing

Great opportunity to bring this superb game into the big screen but it came out to be just a fuss. Very boring acting, couldn't watch the movie till the end, fell a sleep twice and gave up eventually. Fassbander is a great actor but this movie was a miss for him too. The movie has no plot no continuity no appeal very fake cgi for the viewer. Even the actors looks bored filming it. I love these type of movies but dreading the fact that I bought it the first day it came out and paid the full amount. Money down the drain. 😤
  • Spoiled by subtitles

    By Injnghfghjkkkk
I watched ww2 films in the 80's where the Germans spoke English. So why 30+ years later do I have to read subtitles when someone speaks Spanish? It does decrease the enjoyment of the film, but it's still worth watching.
