  • Awful

One of the worse films I have seen, boring.
  • Great film for the fans of the franchise

I can see why people who have never played the games or read the books will be disappointed with this, but as a huge fan of the lore and franchise I thought it fitted into the series really well and was a really good watch. Yes, some elements were slightly altered for a more cinematic experience (the animus for example) but unit didn't detract from the story or action.
  • Unfortunately Very Disappointing

Great opportunity to bring this superb game into the big screen but it came out to be just a fuss. Very boring acting, couldn't watch the movie till the end, fell a sleep twice and gave up eventually. Fassbander is a great actor but this movie was a miss for him too. The movie has no plot no continuity no appeal very fake cgi for the viewer. Even the actors looks bored filming it. I love these type of movies but dreading the fact that I bought it the first day it came out and paid the full amount. Money down the drain. 😤
  • Spoiled by subtitles

I watched ww2 films in the 80's where the Germans spoke English. So why 30+ years later do I have to read subtitles when someone speaks Spanish? It does decrease the enjoyment of the film, but it's still worth watching.
  • Expected More..........

Film without direction which could and should have been great. Jeremy Irons/Charlotte Rampling were badly cast and quite frankly helped to spoil the film. Good special effects with rambling and dull story line Not good at all considering how many people were involved in the making of this film
  • Finding it hard to think of something good to say.

I thought this film would be right up my street. But sadly it’s poor at best. Save your money.
  • Energetic & enjoyable

Despite the fact that this film was panned by the critics, I enjoyed it. It's fast paced, clever & well acted. I thought Micheal Fassbender did a great job as Cal/Aguilar, with the very subtle differences, like eye colour, between the characters giving Aguilar a darker edge. The stunts also gave the film an authentic feel, especially the leap of faith which is epic & also my favourite part of the game series. Saying that I only played the 1st game so don't know the full story line which didn't matter at all as the conceptual nature of the film hangs together regardless. Equally I was glad to see it wasn't just a good v. evil movie with both templates & assassins being painted as human with all the frailties of that condition. Well worth the rental fee!
  • Make It Stop!

I couldn't get past the first 20 mins. Dreadful. Possibly watchable if you have diarrhoea on a long haul flight... but probably not.
  • Rubbish Film

Just could not get into this and found it had no story and made no sence.

I just watched this recently after renting it from iTunes. I guess I expected more from a film with Michael Fassbender in it. The film is "too CGI" and it is not very good CGI - it was like one of them cheap demo cartoon videos you might see on a tele-sales chanel. The plot and script are so lame that there you did not get emmersed in the film at all. Interestingly - by the 1400s there were no Templars because the Catholic Church had killed them off - but hey
