The incredible untold true story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) & Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. An entertaining and informative movie, well worth a watch. Very fine acting. Unfortunately another example of men’s degradation and humiliation of people of colour and the deliberate and hostile exclusion of women from society since time immemorial. All men have so much to answer for.

Intelligent, funny and inspiring. A part of history that is less known. Kept us engaged from beginning to end.

Poor script Badly framed Badly edited Wooden acting Corny beyond belief What next? A film about a few cashiers at Asda who contributed profit that made Walmart take over? Geesh.

I can not believe I did not know about this story! An incredible film, which should be watched by everybody. I found myself experiencing a range of emotions throughout, it is truly inspiring to see these intelligent black women show just what they are capable of.

I don't know how accurately the film portrays the actual events, but that hardly matters. This is not a documentary. This is a presentation of how courage, tenacity and dignity overcomes bone-headed bigotry. It is shameful that it has taken so long for this inspiring story to be told. Even if a little simplistic at times, the story is told well, acted beautifully and moved me to tears. It is a must-see for anyone who aspires to being a mature human being.

Wasn't sure what to expect but I found this to be a riveting film with wonderful cast performances from all. Superb story, scary to think how black people were treated. Absolutely stand out performances by Octavia Spencer and Taraji P Henson. Great to see Kevin Costner too.
