A pile of pants. (Tho' nice double-act chemistry between Oberyn Martell and Jason Bourne.)

This did not deserve the bad praise. Sure the monsters weren't great but Matt Damon was great and the battles were epic

Terrible film, cliche plot and appalling cgi. The characters, as already mentioned, are bland and you cannot build rapport or empathy with any of them. Plot line is weak and story is predictable. Expected more from a Matt Damon film but I guess tax bills have to be paid. Rented it for 4.49 and even then I felt robbed. Avoid

The movie was boring and obviously trying to feature the Great Wall but it was nowhere near the authentic look of it. Absolutely awful and it became a joke as the director was trying to include these actors in the movie because of the political reasons.

I don't know what inspired some of the poor reviews for this film. I'm difficult to please in terms of entertainment but this film ticked all the boxes for me: Action, some humour and great special effects without overdoing them.

A cross between lord of the rings, Jurassic parc and Crouching tiger. The only two strange things about the film are matt damons inexplicable irish accent and the sub-standard CGI. But enjoy .

It sounds great...battling ancient deamons on the Great Wall of China with two big stars (Matt Damon and William Dafoe at the helm). Sadly the CGI leaves much to be desired, and the story line and characters lack any real substance or imagination.

I knew nothing about this movie before renting it. Yimou Zhang is a wonderful action director and imagine a Chinese epic where Jackie Chan is replaced with Matt Damon. The art direction is superb. Sets and costumes are an unusual feast for the eyes. It is true that the CGI isn't as refined as in some modern flicks but as another reviewer mentioned, grab some popcorn, suspend disbelief and enjoy. By the way Pedro Pascal (Narcos) makes a great morally dubious sidekick.
