Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan returns with an original thriller that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man’s fractured, gifted mind. Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him - as well as everyone around him - as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

  • Great! My kind of film. Split (2017)

I really enjoyed this film - a lot! James McAvoy and Betty Buckley are both terrific in this film, very watchable from beginning to end. Watching the trailer I wasn't sure quite what to expect but it looked a little different so I was curious. It turned out to be totally my kind of film. Once the film started I was totally engrossed in it from start to finish.

  • Incredible All Round Film

Absolutely outstanding film. Those stating that nearing the end it was lost to them, I believe it could go many a direction now. The complexities of this subject matter intrests me and I think people need to be more open to mental health issues such as this (off course this is not to say that you cannot dislike such a film but still have an open mind or understanding of the complexities of mental health disorders). Yes his is on the etreme end of the specrum but only touched on this area of the psychy. The 2 main characters were chosen well and really did a fantastic job. Huge round of applause to everyone involved!!!
  • Amazing acting!

One of the best films I've seen in a long long time and it's all down to the brilliant acting of McAvoy!! Can't remember the last time I was so gripped. Fabulous work.

An intelligent thriller with sinister moments. McAvoy does a stellar job and Betty Buckley shines. Very much worth a purchase.
  • Awful and pointless

Started out well but quickly became a bit pointless and the ending was just the cherry on the cake for me. Dont waste your time.
  • McAvoy is amazing

I have found M.Night to be hit and miss movie wise but by picking James McAvoy as the lead he helped bring his work back on form. James is what makes this movie for me. Yes it's shot very well, visually it looks good and the style of filming adds to the tension but James is what makes it convincing. I feel like the movie kind of lost its way towards the end but I get that they are trying to place it in the same world as a previous movie. It's not a perfect film but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
