Description

Mike Regan (Pierce Brosnan) is a successful, self-made man who has it all: a gorgeous wife, a beautiful teenage daughter and a sleek, state-of-the-art smart home. But he soon finds himself in a deadly, high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse when his I.T. consultant, Ed (James Frecheville), starts using his skills to stalk Mike's daughter and endanger his family, his business, and his life. In a world where there is no privacy, and personal secrets can go viral by the click of a mouse, Mike needs to rely on his old connections to defeat a new kind of nemesis. From director John Moore (A Good Day to Die Hard, Max Payne) and starring an award winning cast, including Golden Globe nominated Pierce Brosnan (James Bond, No Escape) and Anna Friel (Limitless, London Boulevard) as well as Stefanie Scott (Insidious: Chapter 3) and James Frecheville (The Drop, Animal Kingdom).

There are a couple of good scenes but this is a really bad movie. Brosnan is pretty cool but in this he's got an Irish accent and although he is Irish in real life, it just sounds a bit odd in this film.

This is so bad I feel compelled to write another review after my first didn't appear. Don't waste your money. The plot and idea behind the film is actually a good one but Brosnans delivery and Irish accent was cringe worthy. He tried I'll give him that, and the nutter/family well..... this needs to be remade with a different cast and better effects.

First time I have written a review about a film, that is how bad this is. As others have said, interesting idea, but so badly executed. Pierce Brosnan delivers a poor performance with a laughable accent at times. The bad guy's delivery is just as bad. Anna Friel is both convincing and interesting but is the only good part of the film. Sound levels jump about in the film and sometimes the dialogue is almost impossible to understand. The ending was awful.

Apart from the bit where we see Anna Friel in her underware this film is dull and uninteresting.

This film is a good cure for insomnia. So boring, cliched and dull. Don't waste your money.

A seemingly good idea for a plot but very poorly done
  • A poor modern take on Cape Fear

The trailer suggests a tight, tense movie. It fails to meet expectations. There are parallels with Cape Fear, inlcuding fasination with coming of age teenager and her family by a creepy guy, helping out, the closing scene feaaturing rain. Movue gets off to a bad start with Brosan's accent, playing a hard man - that lacks credibility. Negative reviews at time of US release are fair. The story is disjointed. Rent, don't buy.
