First review I've ever written for a film, so bad i fast-forwarded through most of it. Felt even more depressed when the apple invoice was mailed to me, proof that I'd even paid to watch it. Save your money.
  • Disappointing for hardcore horror fans

Clearly the trailers chose the only exciting parts of the film to preview. Unlike the predecessors, Rings lacks scare, jump moments and feels like it has over done the story. The characters didn't make me want them to be okay, but rather hoping they wouldn't survive. I've given two stars because this film is okay if you have something else to keep you occupied (I did the ironing), but don't bother devoting your full attention to it as you'll be sorely disappointed.

I like the first Ring film. It was mysterious and suspenseful and the whole film was a huge build up to that epic climax. This film is boring. There's no suspense, it spoils the mystery by filling in plot points that don't need to be filled, just like all the other needless horror sequels. Hardly any jump scares. You see samara twice, and both times is for 1 second. Special effects budget was obviously small lol. Don't waste your time. Boring.
