I was astonished by how good this anime is and i cried abt 10 times! My sis didn't cry at all and kept teasing me that it's no big deal and that I'm a cry baby. So I showed her the comments and now I tease her that she has no heart. Shoko-chan and I have a thing in common... we are both deaf and been bullied at school abt it so while I was watching, my lil bro came and kept shouting "MY SIS HAS DYED HER HAIR PINK!!!" Heh... it was as good as ppl said and even better.

  • As close to perfection as you can get

The fact I'm going out my way to write a review when I never have left a review before says a lot about this movie. This is an absolute must-watch. I really can't say too much about it without spoiling anything for those who have yet to experience it - and that's what it is, an experience. I never cry at movies. I have now. Watch this. Experience it. It'll be the best two hours you'll have for a very long time.
  • Near perfect storytelling and visuals.

I really couldn't find much to fault in this animated film. It's not quite on a par with Shinkai's work but it's pretty damn close. The animation was almost flawless and visually stunning. The voice acting was emotionally charged, but with just enough left unsaid (typically Japanese). I would have like to seen a bit more character development, but I guess it's difficult to condense 7 books into 2 hours, so I guess I'll have to read them now.

I am not the type to cry at sad movies such as the fort in our stars etc but when I watched this movie it moved my hear and I couldn't stop crying. The animation was flawless and u could tell how hard they worked .u could feel what the characters where feeling the emotions put in to it where amazing. I absolutely loved this movie I recommend this move it is one of the that I have ever seen .
  • The best movie you will ever see

I'm not the type to cry when watching movies. But watching this I cried a total of 4 times and I still cry when thinking about it. The animation was so beautiful and delicate I felt I might disturb the scene if I moved and the mix of the music and scenery was perfect. I've read the manga before (it's really good go check it out I also cried while reading it) so I was expecting the same plot but they changed it slightly though it's still amazing and will still break your heart. It was two hours long and you would think that you would get bored but I couldn't move away from the screen. I don't want to spoil it but please do yourself a favour and watch this you will not be disappointed
