Anne is at a crossroads in her life. Long married to a successful, driven but inattentive movie producer, she unexpectedly finds herself taking a car trip from Cannes to Paris with a business associate of her husband. What should be a seven-hour drive turns into a carefree two-day adventure replete with diversions involving picturesque sights, fine food and wine, humor, wisdom and romance, reawakening Anne's senses and giving her a new lust for life.

  • Aaaa I *loved* it!

    Thank you!
  • It Could Have Been Good..

    By AnnieCYa
This was a disappointing movie - it could have been really good if it had condensed more & I suppose offered us more of an informed snapshot rather than thinly veiled fleeting moments into the actors ‘lives’. ‘Less is more’ is not the correct metaphor for this film! The acting is good but give us more to work with!
  • Cliches galore

    By Rinker 242
Look up any cliche and archetype about France and the French and you'll find them in this film. "Romantic" Frenchman - got it (but too obvious). Eating snails? You've got it. French wine and cheese - all there. Oh dear! And it could all have been so much better.
  • Terrific French roads! Arnaud Viard is the star of the film!

    By Paul Winn
Wonderful being taken on a French road trip with this short little film. Arnaud Viard is definitely the star of the film and is wonderful throughout. His passion for food, flirting and life is infectious. Diane Lane on the other hand disappointed me. This is the first film that I've seen her in and I tried and tried to like her but, damn, I found her to be cold throughout. To the point were I thought, wow, I wouldn't want to be near a person like that or work with a person like that in real life. Throughout the film I wished that warm hearted and enthusiastic Diane Keaton was playing this role. I found Diane Lane lacking in enthusiasm. Being honest, she ruined the film for me. Not a fan of hers! I really wasn't attrcted to her! I found her boring, her conversation in the restaurant was lacking any form of education or interest. She asked about the guys relationship. How boring. Us men seriously get turned off by boring chat like that! Also the film is way too short at 90 minutes. At least 20 minutes could of been added to the film by showing more of beauitful France and its roads, towns, cities - come on, this is one of the prettiest countries in the entire world! I feel that SONY were being very very greedy by not offering iTUnes Extras with this film. Again, there could of been French road trips and city/town descriptions but nothing - it gave the film a rather huried to production and sale feel! I bought this film because I love France and my time driving around the country. I enjoyed it for that but was left wanting more...
  • Interestingly good and different film

    By Shadow-007
This film wasn't what I was expecting. it isn't a drama, it isn't a romantic commedy. If anything it fits into a niche all of its own. I enjoyed this film because it was unpredictably good. It is a low key film that moves along at a reasonable pace but doesn't exactly blow your hat off. That said, I very much enjoyed this film because it is refreshingly different. Diane Lane carries the film authority and dignity. She is a truly marvelous actress. I'm sure not everyone will enjoy or appreciate this film but for those who like to look beyond the obvious, this film is for you.
