  • Not a review of the film but a complaint about itunes prices

Not watched the film.... i’d quite like to, but sick of how Apple are pushing rental prices up and up..... nearly £6 now just to rent a film on an ipad for 2 days...... its disgusting how rental prices are pushing up to purchase prices..... films these days are often crap and easy to make on a computer. If they’re good, they will recuperate their fee and more even if you set the rental at £1 or £2 as everyone will watch it..... i just refuse to pay £5.50 for a single 1.5 hour film.....

  • Disappointing

The first two films in the trilogy were great. What a let down with the finale. The story - tedious and unimaginative. Characters - typical good v evil rubble with very little personality. Action scenes - pathetic. The ending - silly. I wish I’d given this one a miss.
  • Boring…

Don’t let “WAR for the Planet of the Apes” fool you. This movie has barely any action. And in most cases I don’t mind, but since this movie has only one character you actually care about I found myself extremely bored throughout this one. My dad fell asleep in the theatre…

  • Oh dear... familiar in an odd way...

Don’t get me wrong, the effects of the apes were great, and amazing performances from everyone. I certainly don’t wish to drop any spoilers, but what I will say is this: Guns, monkey slave camps, merciless soldiers and an apocalyptic virus aside, The is basically Watership Down without the rabbits.
  • Best film I’ve seen for a while

Loved it! This and alien covenant have to be the best films this year
  • Very slow pace revenge film.

I got the impression the film was too short and the producers said "let's drag the scenes out a bit". There are numerous times where characters hold a gaze, as they talk to someone or maybe look at the sky. Maybe the lead monkey dude is thinking about something, so we see him gazing over a landscape, thinking. FOR AGES. Almost every character 1.moved slowly 2.gazed into thin air for too long 3.changed posture over a 13 second duration. It was like watching a film in slow motion! The first two films are amazing. This one, is not. The sharp, cunning of the lead character is abandoned in this story, as he becomes an animal hunting for a kill. It might have been better if it was faster in pace, but the whole film moves too slowly.
