Eric LeMarque (Josh Hartnett, TV's Penny Dreadful, Lucky Number Slevin) is a thrill-seeking snowboarder with a weight of personal demons on his back. When he gets lost in a massive winter storm in the back country of the High Sierra Mountains, LeMarque is pushed to the limit and forced to battle those demons head-on as he fights against the worst the elements can throw at him. Featuring a mesmerising tour de force from Hartnett as real-life hero LeMarque, 6 BELOW also features Sarah Dumont (Don Jon, TV's The Royals) and Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino (Summer Of Sam, Mighty Aphrodite) as LeMarque s equally determined mother. With the wilds of Utah providing the film s backdrop and giving Hartnett a taste of what LeMarque went through in real life, director Scott Waugh (Need For Speed, Act Of Valor), 6 BELOW deliver an assault on the senses that thrills and chills to the bone.

  • lack lustre snow ball

Waste of my money. Within the first 10 minutes I had lost interest and any sympathy with character. Already injured he goes drug taking and snowboarding off piste ALONE!! what a prat. The wolves must be particularly stupid in that range of mountains not to have finished him off on the first night, bleeding limping staggering along ( SIMILARLY THE PLOT )they were certainly not the beasts that one is used to seeing on a David Attenborough programe which have more tension and drama than this lack lustre snow ball.
  • What a load of Tosh

Thank you itunes for reeling me in thinking this was a 4 star movie. More like two. I should have read more reviews which by the way are much more realistic!! Still you made 99p out of me so you did alright!! After watching Everest this is MEH!!!
  • Powerful and moving movie

It’s based on a true story and during the credits you see photos of the man himself. Also the acting is good in the movie and their lines are too. It’s impactful to see and then I don’t know when you would think I want to watch it again.
  • Exceptional

The best movie I’ve seen this year so far. Fantastic
  • Arrogance, ego and snowboarding

A film about another adrenalin/wilderness junkie who is so self-absorbed, so lacking in thought for other people that it’s almost inevitable that, one day, they’ll push things too far and those people for whom they have so little regard will have to risk their own safety to come to the rescue. The ‘demons’ he is confronted with—in this film at least—are his drug-habit and a father who sees his son as a clone of himself rather than an independent human-being.
  • Quite boring

  • Amazing true story

Hartnett portrays the character's fight for survival well, and this film is very well shot with tension all the way through. I really rooted for him.

Josh's performance is amazing! It makes 127 Hours look like My Little Pony!
