From Academy Award winner Alexander Payne (The Descendants, Nebraska) comes the hilarious film that delivers big comedy... and small Matt Damon. When scientists find a way to shrink humans to five inches tall, Paul Safranek (Academy Award winner Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to ditch their stressed out lives in order to get small and live large in a luxurious downsized community. Filled with life-changing adventures and endless possibilities, Leisureland offers more than riches, as Paul discovers a whole new world and realizes that we are meant for something bigger. Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) also stars in this tremendously entertaining and original film.

  • Awful

This film is about 5 films in one, it is nothing like what the trailer makes it out to be, absolutely awful.
  • Surprising little film.

I was expecting a comedy based on the trailer but it turned out to be a interesting short story. Matt Damon Matt Damons his way through like all his movies but as he is only the axis for the tale to move around it doesn’t really matter. Not sure if I would have paid cinema price but definitely worth a rental.

Misleading trailer. Not a comedy. Just a mess of a movie. Avoid this one like the plague !
  • Thought Provoking

Was an interesting social commentary which is not my normal fayre. Enough cynical humour to keep me interested. Watched it without seeing the marketing so surprised to see people expecting a comedy.

  • Ok but nothing exciting

A good film but unfortunately it does becoming boring as more and more as it gets inside story not really an exciting film that keeps you wanting to watch it till the end. I think they showed a lot of the hype in the trailers that sort of ruined it

If you're expecting a version of Ant Man then don't watch this film! Downsizing is a clever, witty, and brilliantly made film. Big on the social commentary, but touching , affecting and in places very funny. By the look of the other reviews it certainly isn't for everyone, but I loved it.
  • Just not good

I watched this on a plane flight and honestly I would have preferred to jump out the window during or after this horror of a film I mean there is virtually no story line and 80% of it is crammed into the last section of the film. With no driving force at any point in the film it becomes insanely boring and doesn’t fully explore all the possibilities of what could’ve of been slightly interesting. This is not a comedy l there are no jokes whatsoever or anything that is funny at all
