Liam Neeson plays an insurance salesman, Michael, on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realises a deadly plan is unfolding and is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy. One that carries life and death stakes, for himself and his fellow passengers. Liam Neeson and Jaume Collet-Serra team up again after 'Non-Stop' in this intense and smart action thriller.

Do not buy. Do not rent. Wait for it to be free. It utter nonsense. Low budget green screen tripe.

Formulaic and annoying. It’s good up to a certain point Suspense. But then it becomes very tedious. Not a patch on Non Stop. The inciting incident - what gets the story going is lame and that tips the credibility in the character that Neesom plays. Forgettable.
  • Pretty average

Really didn't meet expectations for Liam Neeson film, maybe all his others have been so great they take some beating ?

He really carries his movies - this one is a great rollacoaster with twists and turns, stick with it, you will be rewarded
  • Entertaining

Collet-Sera has a wonderful knack for re-energising b-movie conundrums into visually appealing and captivating character studies. The Communter is a sibling to Sera and Neesons’ previous collobrative effort Non-Stop. Both take pleasure in a Hitchcockian-esqu jigsaw puzzle of high paranoia and a telescopic look at everyday people and the shadows they cast. Its formulaic, possibly more so than Seras’ previous entries into his filmography, but the stakes always feel grave, always intense, and the action at times feels pounding.

Honestly I only purchased this because I saw he was starring in it .. I’m more of a horror fan but I’m yet to be disappointed by one of his films He’s like a decent bottle of wine .. simply gets better with age

Ignore Grumpy Jimmy, if he, she or it feels that Alien is more likely to happen then they need to get a life. This movie is excellent, first time you watch it you’ll be on the edge of your seat. Great thriller with a beginning middle & end like all the best stories.
  • Great movie

I disagree with the previous reviews this movie is engaging and thrilling. Neeson is very watchable and the story just like the movie takes a little while to get going but as things transpire just like an out of control train it ramps up the tension. Watch this film and enjoy its subtle spectacle as a great thriller.
