I, Tonya tells the outrageous and at times hilarious true story of one of the biggest scandals in sporting history. Tonya Harding was a champion figure skater who’s rebel attitude pushed the sport to new heights. However, as Olympic pressure mounted her life began to unravel – culminating in an alleged attack on her fiercest rival, un-paralleled press attention and a legacy no one would wish for. With sensational performances from Margot Robbie, Allison Janney (Oscar® Winner – Best Supporting Actress) and Sebastian Stan, this incredible tale has to be seen to be believed!

This is one of the best films I’ve seen. Margot Robbie is astounding. Allison Janney deserves her Oscar. The fourth-wall breaking is effective and it is both funny and devastating.

    Gripping film
  • Glorification of a monster

    By Streetworker01
However well-made and well-acted this may be, it’s still the glorification of a vile, destructive individual. I’ll pass.
  • Robbie is outstanding.

if you thought Margot Robbie wasn’t a force to be reckoned with, she is now. She stunningly transcends herself into something so uniquely broken, twisted, yet with a beautiful substance of stoic pitty, that ultimately manifests inside your brain. However, the highlight and utter monster of the film is of-course Allison Janney who steals EVERY SINGLE SCENE she’s used in. If she doesn’t get any recognition for such a role that’s nasty, gritty, and utterly bizarre I have no hope. If Scorsese’s Goodfellas was the definitive gangster film of the nineties, then this is surely the same for its time.
  • Great insight, great film

    By ThePMeenan
Acted superbly, worthy Oscar winning performances, fascinating insightful look at a story so well known yet fresh in this telling. Funny, sensational, brutal and all round class piece of film making. Margo Robbie shows she is a world class leading actress and is barely recognised in parts, immersed in the acting and story. Well worth a watch!
