    Just don’t even bother.
  • Predictable rubbish

You see film makers like to make money and now they do it on the back of all the hype. Once you have been caught by it and watched it they have your money and there is no way back. This film is crap. Totally predictable. poor special effects, worse acting and a simply pathetic story line. I have seen it all before a million times. Please come up with somkething new that is worth watching. Oh and as soon as it starts to get interesting the credits start. I, for one, will not be sucked in by the sequel.

This is a lot better than anything I could have expected. Well worth a watch. Great entertainment.
  • Really enjoyed

For some reason I did not have high hopes for this movie but I’m glad to say I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to see a strong female lead portrayed in this way. I for one liked the ending and was glad they did not go down the supernatural route. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that it was a bit obvious in places. Looking forward to the sequel.
  • No!!

A poorly paced movie with a mediocre storyline and a lacklustre finale. It needed a much larger set-piece to complete the film and it felt like we had been short-changed at the end. The Angelina Jolie films epitomised the ‘Lara Croft’ associated with the ‘Tomb Raider’ franchise far better.
  • Regurgitation

    By revoxx
Perhaps we could see something that is not a repackaged story with a new actress. Vikander is fantastic. But having seen the previous there is no need to regurgitate; except for the studio to make money. This is costly. And the action is impressive. But come on how about something a bit more original. Hollywood dulling down. Plenty of great other things to see from Europe and the Far East and Scandinavia.
  • Brilliant new addition.

This is a great new addition to the franchise. Fresh, more realistic and has loads of potential for a sequel. As a fan of the games (both classic and new) it’s great to see how they have interpreted sequences from the games, while adding there own particular flare to it too. Alicia was a fantastic casting choice - she was always an incredible actress and it’s great to see her in a more physically demanding role. She nailed it.
  • This film is a bold start

I really enjoyed this movie. I’ve played every tomb raider game created and whilst this movie lacked some of the WOW moments the game brought to the audience there is plenty to like here. Strong acting throughout and a reasonable story. The lead is played brilliantly and a huge improvement for me over Jolie’s version. Watch it and enjoy!
