Absolutely Amazing!!! The story is wonderful. The animatronics and visual effects are brilliant. This movie completely revolutionised the film industry.

Cleverly written, fantastically directed, and perfectly performed. Stands as one of the best films ever made.

First off, a complaint: Please buy the DVD or Bluray of this film. Apple are stingy as heck. They upload the film and then realist it. I feel sorry for people who spend their hard earn cash on it only for it to be removed. Apple should be ashamed of themselves. The DVD is far cheaper than this digital version and better quality for bluray. Movie review: With that said, I love this film. Steven Spielberg directed this film beautifully. I grew up watching it and there are so many iconic moments. As a kid, I never saw the first 12 mins of the film. I only pretty much saw up to were the kids meet up with their grandfather. Rewatching this film again in full, I have to admit that the first 20 mins of the film is a bit of a bore. But then picks up the moment we are introduced with the first dinasors. The characters are great and memorable. The plot, simple yet effective and the visuals still hold up today. They use anamertornics for close up scenes and they look real. Like the scene with the triceratop being like. Another memerable scene in the film is when the t-Rex is trying to eat the kids but his face keeps hitting the top glass roof of the car and the kids are holding back. That scene is possibly one of the most iconic scenes I have ever scene in film. The CG at times is a little dated, but hey, it was made in the early 90’s. I love John Williams’s score as well. Overall great film and a nostalgia treat. I 100% recommend this film.

I give this movie 5 stars as it is brilliant and a definite must watch if you like Dinosaurs, but although I’m typing this watching it in 4K HDR which looks brilliant, it is not showing in my purchases list on my other devices. Apparently this is a Universal Pictures tactic to make you re-buy. 5 Stars for the movie, 0 Stars for the underhanded tactic!

  • Free 4K upgrades???

This is turning into a trend now. Apple TV 4K was promised to have free 4K upgrades if you owned the movie already in HD. I bought the JP HD Collection a while ago. All the movies recently had the art changed, but remain as HD. Where’s the free 4K upgrade, scumbags?
  • Terrible way to treat loyal customers

The move studio should be ashamed of the way they are deleting and relisting movies in the iTunes Store. I just bought this again in error as I (like many other) rely on the β€˜play’ button appearing next to movies that I’ve already bought, as a way of me knowing that I own it. This is greed and deception and is clearly the studio’s way of profiteering from people’s ignorance of the β€˜Purchased’ library vs the Store. Shame on you guys. Everyone else that has already bought the original version, PLEASE give this a 1-star review to make sure we make our point known!
  • Beware of Universal Studios and Dreamworks

Beware before buying any Universal Studios movies, (Dreamworks is owned by Universal Studios). Every couple of moths they take there films of sale and relist the exact same movie again. You do get to keep the old movie (for how long is to be seen), but the downside is that they don't appear on search results, and you use Siri to play them, and the ones that do appear on the search results are the relisted ones asking you to buy them again. also, any movies that has iTunes extras, the extras menu disappears form the movies home page. There is no reason for Universal to relist them, and the only reason they do, is to get you to buy the same movie again. They are the only company on iTunes that do this, they have done it with Shrek 1, 2, 3 and 4, The Mummy 1, 2 and 3, Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3, Kung Fu Panda 1, 2 and 3, and countless others. I personally have over 40 Universal/Dreamworks movies, and every single one has been taken of sale and relisted. It’s really sad that a company as big as Universal Studios resorts to, for lake of a better word, extort their customers. I for one, will not be paying any more Universal Studios and Dreamworks movies on iTunes until apple steps in and puts a stop to this behaviour.
  • iTunes Extras taken down? Damned cheek!

I’m heavily invested in iTunes movies and TV shows and I find more and more that Apple has moved to a model of making you re-buy what you already own just to get the previously free extras. We know Apple is a β€œa hugely successful tech company”, β€œthe world’s first trillion dollar company” blah, blah, blah. Stop ripping off your loyal customers, Apple. It stinks!
