Description

The story starts with when a famous Danish gender activist and owner of Copenhagen’s first gender-neutral children's nursery is found murdered on a building site in Malmö. Saga is forced to work with a new Danish colleague, who has difficulties in accepting Saga for who she is. They quickly come to the conclusion that the murderer has been very particular about the aesthetics and wanted them to find the body. This marks the beginning of a line of spectacular murders that eventually become personal for Saga and her career looks to be at risk and the questions is raised, can she actually continue working on this case?

The gap following the end of these series is dire! I've just done back to back episodes 1-10 between LHR>DUB>LHR on a 2 day business trip. It's THAT addictive. In the train, tube, Heathrow Express, lounge, plane, taxi, hotel...and all reversed back home. Exhausting yes, but like The Protectors, Spooks and Fortitude, it's something that a certain kind of TV viewer finds all-consuming. In the unlikely event they read this stuff, I genuinely commend all concerned. Bravo. I wish the BBC would recognise the value and significance of doing something this 'out there'. The Tunnel? I had doubts about buying Series 3, but I'm so glad I did. Simply outstanding television and a credit to everyone involved in making it.

I can remember watching the first episode of the first season on bbc iplayer, as soon as the subtitles came up it was "can I be bothered"?…..thank goodness I opted to give it a go! I now own all three seasons in my iTunes account. The acting, the settings the story line all combine to make the best tv I’ve ever watched. Another aspect of the subtitles for me is that it makes you concentrate on whats going on….to my embarrassment I have to confess a leaning to tech induced attention issues…watching subtitles definitely cures you of that. Give it a go, you’ll be pleased you did!!
