As a box set , it'sworth watching and better than a lot of the dross on the TVs and an antidote to glossy American crime drama

Vera is an outstanding drama that grabs you right from beginning to end. Vera is such a brilliant character and the relationship between Vera and Joe is perfection. After watching the first episode I was hooked and couldn't wait to watch the next one! I hope we get lots more of Vera and it wasn't just a one-off series because it was 10/10 and in the same league as (for me) Bones, all CSI's, Criminal Minds, Silent Witness, Waking the Dead, Trial and Retribution, Messiah with Ken Stott and of course all of ITV's One-off Crime Drama's, etc. Please "MORE VERA!!!"

This programme credits you with some intelligence and really makes your thought processes jump through hoops. Don't be surprised to find that after watching you want to go back and watch a section again for the penny to drop. Of course that's just me, other more intelligent people would probably get it all first time round. I really like Vera and her independent spirit and forthright approach. Second only to Prime Suspect.
