Lyrics that would make a grown man weep, especially if you have a love of language. "The flurry of departure in a cyclone of cologne"

They've done it again! The music is familiar and as welcoming as a large scotch next to a roaring fire on a cold day! Guys voice and lyrics are pure poetry and full of emotion. I could say it's their best album yet, but I can say that about every one of their albums. Brilliant!

Another album for any occasion. Gig in Bournemouth outstanding....so much so we're off to see them again in New York. But this album and its money well spent, it has tracks that you can never get bored of and you'll keep going back for more.
  • Coldplay for the world weary

Elbow have found themselves at the bottom of a navel gazing cul de sac - probably a good album title for them now, "Navel Gazing Cul de Sac" by Elbow, featuring the hit you've heard before, Emporer's New Clothes! They were good back in the day, but now exist only to serve up dreary introspection for the sad hipster generation. Best avoided, remember them how they were.

Elbow albums will never be instant, always be intriguing, and always grow into anthems. No different here, always little pockets of rhythm and melodies that head off in unique and unpredictable ways. Beauty, craft, care and sincerity. Bravo, elbow.

With Elbows seventh album comes Little Fictions and one written with sublime lyrics and Guys wonderful voice belting track after track out. I bought or pre-order so listened to the superb Magnificent first (which I think is one of Elbows finest) with All Disco and Gentle Storm soon following. Guy Garvey has a fantastic voice and the harmonies the band produce only add to their growing reputation of one of the best bands currently. Definitely an album to buy whether your an Elbow fan or not.

This truly is a beautiful album. The genius of it isn't totally apparent on first listen. But put on your headphones and immerse yourself in to Craig's incredible production and attention to detain in sonics. Fall in love to Guys lyrics as his voice goes from a whisper of simplistic purity to soaring and up lifting. Moving the soul in a way few singers can these days. Best album yet? Quite possibly
