You can tell she didn't write her first album as her style of writing is completly different. She is as mature as expected for her age with words that rhyme and things to sound cool, but no real talent or intellect. Her mother probably wrote her first album and now she is proving she has no talent.

Everything about this album is impeccable. A fantastic achievement, it's been on repeat since release. Didn't count myself a fan after Heroine, however Melodrama is in a league of its own. Will go down as a classic. Listen, listen and listen.

each track has its quirkiness and great sound layers. vocally lorde is more playfully and sounds on 'writer in the dark' almost like kate bush in the chorus. sure it might be a little bit more commercial but still stands out from the crowd and is a great follow up to pure heroine. love it.
