Arcade fire does it again
By Peter whyman
Arcade fire are yet to put out a bad song. This album is one of the best. We don't deserve love is pure beauty.
This song is awful. One of the worst misguided, thoughtless lyrical songs I've ever heard. I am a fan of some of their other work, but this......?
Brilliant opening track........then
Brilliant opening track........then erm.....not quite sure overall. Certainly not their best album and I am unconvinced that this will ever grow on me in full. Too many fillers for my liking.
Don't waste your money
Never been so disappointed with a fire release 👎🏼only about 3 tracks worth listening too
Album of the summer
at my age not much really surprises you and sounds that great. this was brilliant from the first listen. Poppy and catchy yet with a dark and rocky edge. Neon Bible was very good, but whereas that had a slightly serious sombre tone, this is lively and makes you want to shake your old body a la Scissor sisters/MGMT. It sort of allows me to enjoy pop music without feeling embarrassed.
What's happened to them? It sounds like a rushed alum, the lyrics are poor and the music is so predictable...Everything now is the best song on this album and the rest is just meh.
It's £9.99 badly spent. I'll pretend this album do not exist and just listen to the old ones
Good but nowhere near the best.
I adore the opening track and it's variants. There some real highlights on this album. Sadly, we have a track called 'chemistry' which is beyond poor. Invention is fine but please not straw grasping. 'Peter Pan' isn't far behind also.
Oozes class 👌🏽
Really good album. I don't get the people who say "I'm a huge AF fan but This album is rubbish". Clean your ears, head, whatever out. This holds on to their sound which they've had from day one but with little polished bits here and there. If you people had your way the Beatles would have been playing Twist & Shout for 20 years.
