It would be easy to write this album off. After all, its predecessor (1990's 'Behind the Mask') suffered from the departure of Lindsey Buckingham prior to recording and it tells. Stevie Nicks would also leave the band before Bekka Bramlett and Traffic's Dave Mason were brought on board. This time around, Christine McVie would be back on form and it is her tracks that stand out on 'Time'. Mason's guitar work sits nicely on this record, although it never quite shines in the way that Buckingham's did. Billy Burnette provides a couple of songs on this album and on the whole they work better than anything he did on 'Behind the Mask' - 'I Got It In For You' is a particular highlight. Although not the strongest Mac album, it is a fine addition for any fans of the band.
